La Canoa campsite. As pinpointed by the
Arizona contingency of the 1996 Re-enactment
of the Juan Bautista de Anza Colonizing
Expedition 1775/1776. The one and only death
occurred here when Manuela Pinuelas de Feliz
died after childbirth complications. Jose
Antonio Capistrano de Feliz went on to be on
the roster of the founders of Alta California.
